Terms of Service
Review TruLight Cleaning’s service terms, booking policies, payment terms, customer responsibilities, cancellation rules, satisfaction policy, and website terms.
Effective Date: May 6, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of the TruLight Cleaning website, estimate forms, booking forms, cleaning services, gift cards, surveys, communications, and related services. By using our website, requesting an estimate, booking a service, purchasing services, or communicating with TruLight Cleaning, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services Provided
TruLight Cleaning may offer residential cleaning, deep cleaning, move-in and move-out cleaning, commercial cleaning, short-term rental cleaning, post-construction cleaning, specialty cleaning, senior home support, gift card services, and related cleaning support. Services are provided according to the agreed scope, estimate, checklist, property condition, access instructions, and service schedule.
2. Estimates and Pricing
Estimates are based on information provided by the customer, including property type, size, number of rooms, number of bathrooms, condition, requested service type, cleaning frequency, location, and special requests.
Estimates are not guaranteed final prices unless confirmed in writing. Pricing may change if the property condition is different than described, the property is larger than expected, additional rooms or tasks are requested, excessive dirt or buildup is present, the service requires more labor or time than originally estimated, or access issues and delays affect the job.
3. Booking and Scheduling
Appointments are subject to availability. A booking is not confirmed until TruLight Cleaning accepts the appointment and provides confirmation by phone, email, text, invoice, booking software, or another written communication. Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact information, service address, gate codes, parking instructions, alarm instructions, lockbox details, pet instructions, and access information.
4. Customer Responsibilities
- Pick up personal items, clothing, toys, valuables, important documents, and fragile items.
- Secure pets in a safe location.
- Provide safe access to the property.
- Ensure water, electricity, lighting, and climate control are available.
- Identify delicate surfaces, damaged items, special materials, antiques, or areas requiring special care.
- Tell us about known hazards such as broken glass, pest issues, mold, biohazards, unsafe flooring, exposed wiring, or aggressive animals.
- Remove or secure firearms, medications, cash, jewelry, confidential documents, and high-value items.
TruLight Cleaning may decline or stop service if the property is unsafe, unsanitary beyond the agreed scope, inaccessible, or materially different from the estimate.
5. Access, Lockouts, and Delays
If our team cannot access the property at the scheduled time, the appointment may be treated as a lockout or late cancellation. A fee may apply. TruLight Cleaning is not responsible for incomplete service caused by lack of access, interruptions, unsafe conditions, lack of utilities, or customer-caused delays.
6. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Customers should provide reasonable notice when canceling or rescheduling. TruLight Cleaning may establish cancellation, rescheduling, lockout, or late-notice fees and communicate them before booking or in a service agreement. For recurring clients, repeated cancellations, lockouts, or reschedules may result in removal from the recurring schedule.
7. Payments, Deposits, and Late Payments
Payment terms will be provided through estimate, invoice, booking confirmation, or written agreement. TruLight Cleaning may require deposits, card-on-file authorization, payment before service, payment at completion, or recurring billing for repeat clients. Late payments may result in service suspension, collection activity, late fees, cancellation of future appointments, or other remedies allowed by law and agreement.
8. Supplies and Equipment
TruLight Cleaning may bring standard cleaning supplies and equipment or may use customer-provided products if approved. If the customer requests use of specific products, the customer is responsible for ensuring those products are safe and appropriate for the surfaces being cleaned. TruLight Cleaning is not responsible for damage caused by defective, mislabeled, expired, unsafe, or inappropriate customer-provided products.
9. Service Limitations and Excluded Tasks
Unless specifically agreed in writing, TruLight Cleaning does not perform mold remediation, biohazard cleanup, hoarding cleanup, pest treatment, heavy lifting, high ladder work, unsafe exterior window cleaning, hazardous-material handling, restoration services, or cleaning in unsafe conditions. TruLight Cleaning may refuse service if a job falls outside our scope or creates safety, legal, insurance, or health concerns.
10. Pets
Customers must notify TruLight Cleaning of pets before service. Pets should be secured during cleaning. TruLight Cleaning is not responsible for pets escaping, becoming stressed, or interfering with service when pets are not properly secured.
11. Valuables, Fragile Items, and Pre-Existing Damage
Customers should secure valuables, fragile items, heirlooms, collectibles, electronics, cash, jewelry, medications, confidential records, and items of sentimental value before service. Customers should notify TruLight Cleaning of loose fixtures, damaged surfaces, unstable furniture, broken blinds, worn flooring, delicate stone, unsealed surfaces, or other pre-existing conditions.
TruLight Cleaning is not responsible for pre-existing damage, normal wear and tear, improperly installed items, unstable items, or damage caused by failure to disclose special care requirements.
12. Damage, Breakage, and Claims
If damage or breakage occurs, the customer must notify TruLight Cleaning as soon as possible, preferably within 24 hours of service completion. TruLight Cleaning may request photos, documentation, receipts, inspection access, or additional information. Resolution may include repair, replacement, insurance review, credit, re-clean, or another remedy depending on the circumstances and any applicable service agreement.
13. Satisfaction Policy
If you are not satisfied with an area included in the agreed scope, contact us within 24 hours after service completion. When appropriate, TruLight Cleaning may offer a re-clean of the specific area of concern. Refunds are not guaranteed and are handled at TruLight Cleaning’s discretion unless otherwise required by law or written agreement.
14. Short-Term Rental and Turnover Cleaning
Short-term rental cleaning may include guest-ready turnover tasks, bed and towel turnover, restocking checks, trash removal, and visual reporting, depending on the agreed scope. The customer or property manager is responsible for providing enough linens, towels, supplies, trash bags, paper products, laundry access, and restocking inventory unless otherwise agreed.
15. Post-Construction Cleaning
Post-construction cleaning may require rough clean, final clean, and touch-up phases. Construction dust may continue settling after cleaning. Additional touch-up visits may require additional fees. Contractors or property owners should remove construction debris, hazardous materials, tools, nails, screws, sharp objects, and unsafe conditions before cleaning unless otherwise agreed.
16. Commercial Cleaning
Commercial cleaning clients are responsible for providing building access, alarm codes, security rules, restroom access, waste disposal instructions, and site-specific safety requirements. Commercial services may be governed by a separate written agreement, work order, scope of work, or recurring service contract.
17. Gift Cards and Promotions
Gift cards, discounts, coupons, referral credits, and promotions are subject to the terms stated at the time of issue. They may not be redeemable for cash unless required by law. Lost or stolen gift cards may not be replaced.
18. Reviews, Testimonials, and Photos
Customers may submit reviews, testimonials, survey responses, or feedback. By submitting a review directly to TruLight Cleaning, you give TruLight Cleaning permission to contact you about the review and, with your permission, use the review in marketing materials. We will not intentionally publish private property photos, customer names, or identifying service details without permission.
19. Website Use and Intellectual Property
You agree not to misuse the TruLight Cleaning website. You may not attempt to hack, disrupt, copy, scrape, reverse engineer, spam, overload, or interfere with the website, forms, systems, or business operations. 20. Privacy Policy and Communications Consent
Use of our website and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By providing your phone number or email address, you authorize TruLight Cleaning to contact you about estimates, appointments, service updates, invoices, surveys, and related business communications. If we send marketing emails or marketing text messages, we will provide an opt-out method where required.
21. No Guarantee of Results
TruLight Cleaning will use reasonable professional efforts to provide quality cleaning services. However, results may vary based on property condition, surface age, stains, buildup, hard-water damage, soap scum, rust, mold, construction dust, wear and tear, damage, prior cleaning history, and other factors.
22. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, TruLight Cleaning’s liability for claims related to services, website use, scheduling, property access, or customer disputes is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim, unless a different written agreement or applicable law requires otherwise. TruLight Cleaning is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or lost-profit damages to the extent allowed by law.
23. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TruLight Cleaning, its owners, employees, contractors, agents, and representatives from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, inaccurate information you provide, unsafe property conditions, failure to disclose hazards, misuse of the website, or actions of your guests, tenants, employees, pets, contractors, or other persons at the property.
24. Force Majeure
TruLight Cleaning is not responsible for delay or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, illness, labor shortages, power outages, road closures, vehicle issues, supply shortages, emergencies, government orders, or unsafe conditions.
25. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any legal action will be handled in an appropriate court in Georgia unless another venue is required by law or written agreement.
26. Changes to These Terms
TruLight Cleaning may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the website or services after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
